As a physician assistant, Cory has been widely and thoroughly trained through thousands of hours of classroom and onsite clinical training. In addition to his formalized training, he has had years of experience involved with patient care. This combination of experience and training has prepared him to provide thorough and personal care to each patient he sees.

I have witnessed how venous diseases, chronic swelling, and other disorders of the venous and vascular system are very debilitating for patients, which has a negative impact on their day to day lives. So many of these problems are longstanding, and only see little improvement from the more traditional medical approaches. The opportunity to work alongside Dr. Hearn and implement the most up to date medicine to truly help patients improve is very exciting.

Cory places a high emphasis on educating patients about their conditions. He strives to help patients understand their own bodies and what aspects may not be functioning properly. This is particularly important as many patients may have multiple aspects of their physiology that are contributing to their symptoms.
It is important that I take the time to listen to patients’ concerns. This helps us to create the best plan of treatment for the individual patient, and their specific goals. Treatment plans are a shared decision between the patient and the provider, and there is no one who knows their body better than the patient themself.
