Dr. Marios Panayides has been caring for patients for nearly 60 years. A graduate of Saint Louis University School of Medicine, he did his residency at the University of Cincinnati Medical Center/College of Medicine. A thoracic and vascular surgeon, he was licensed in Ohio, Florida, and Pennsylvania.

A fellow (FACS) of the American College of Surgeons, Dr. Panayides came to the Vein Center of Cincinnati, where his talent and vast experience played an important role in caring for patients in the greater Cincinnati area. Admired by patients and staff alike, Dr. Panayides helped build the Vein Center of Cincinnati into the premier vascular care center it is today.

After a long and distinguished career, Dr. Panayides decided to retire in June 2026. While we will miss his regular presence at the Vein Center of Cincinnati, his presence will always be a part of who we are and what we do. We have honored him for his years of wonderful care and service with the title “Surgeon Emeritus”.
