Dr. Andrew Hearn

For over 20 years, Dr. Hearn has been serving the community of Cincinnati. A well-known Vascular Surgeon, Dr. Hearn has performed thousands of open, minimally invasive, catheter-based, and ultrasound guided vascular procedures. Dr. Hearn started his career in vascular surgery, but while training, teaching, and seeing patients in the field, he found he was often treating people with varicose veins, chronic venous insufficiency, venous stasis, leg ulcers, or cellulitis. He noted that many of these patients suffered for many years and had a very poor quality of life, and some had spent years improperly diagnosed or treated with now outdated methodologies such as vein stripping.

Dr. Hearn is still motivated everyday by improving the lives of patients with venous disease and training the next generation of Venous Disease Specialists.

When Dr. Hearn founded his practice, it was to ensure proper care for large numbers of people who suffer from poorly treated or mismanaged venous disease.

Venous disease is often poorly understood by patients and clinicians as being a “cosmetic issue only.” It is extremely satisfying on a personal and professional level to be able to diagnose, treat, and monitor a patient’s progress and satisfaction as they go through treatment. Many of our patients do get an ancillary cosmetic benefit from our treatment which adds to their satisfaction.
